Friday night's SciFi lineup is fantastic. It's all Stargate and Andromeda. Finales of The SG teams this week, and Dylan's return next week on Romi. Can't ask for a better lineup. I've always liked Andromeda. It's the last season though, due to budget and ownership concerns. It's a shame. It really had a different feel from traditional contemporary science fiction. But I was very surprised as well with Atlantis tonight. It was quite good...in comparison to the last few episodes of the series.

Not much to note, except a page counter has been installed to the lower left. It uses DS9 fonts. Can't wait until it gets really high. But I guess that's YOUR fault, now isn't it?

The Songs of the Week have been updated. This week, Green Day's American Idiot is released. And with that, I bring you two songs from the album, Jesus of Suburbia, a 9+ minute punk opera broken into five chapters, and St. Jimmy, a ditty that sounds like Ben Weasel may have written it instead of Billy Joe. Enjoy!

Spent a little while trying to recreate the .php that was deleted last night. It's a pain. But the left menu should be working now completely. I haven't found any bugs in it yet, but I don't claim it's perfect. But it works.

Can't figure this one out. Isn't happening on the Porsche page, but only the front. Seems to be adding extra entries where it shouldn't....

Update Update at 22:34

Well, fiddling with the CSS and the formatting of the text on the page has opened up a few other bugs which I didn't encounter before. Some of the table formatting is off, and therefore rendering extra wide or not wide enough. Either IE will render them fine and Opera won't, or vice versa. I'm hoping that they're "good enough" at this point and that you shouldn't be able to see any glaring errors at all.

Had to manually enter each of the older 944 entries into the new database. Took a while...at least an hour and a half. Spacing and such is a pain because the engine can't do both html and plain text in the same news entry...silly. I have to choose either which means putting line break tags in instead of hitting enter. I don't know if this is an oversight on my part or the developer's, but it's annoying. Anyway, for now I am complete. Things will be added to the left side once I can merge them into the new database as well. Until then...

Site Update at 20:13

I've updated to the newest version of the software which handles the news input on the site. It's really nice. But there are still a few quirks which I can't figure out. For instance, why is the .CSS file not being utilized completely on the 944 page? I have no idea. I'm still trying to pin that down. Looking at code all day can make the world seem so complicated.
