So I attempted something I'd never done before tonight. And I'm still here. I haven't yet died of salmonella. The oven didn't catch fire. And the house is still in one piece. I'd say it turned out pretty good!

What happens when a student with 93 credits at a university goes back after eight years of hiatus? You get to schedule classes well before anyone else! That means some of the more attractive class times are still available. No 8ams for me!

Read on for what's happened so far.

I got Seamus a new permanent housing. The decorations were on clearance at PetCo. Lots of room for him to swim around, both horizontal and vertical. A little cave for him to hide. Bettas need to feel safe, and often take residence under objects in the shadows, as well as under leaves. The silk plant is tall enough to give him something to swim through. Hopefull he's happy. He also has a toy to play with. :cool:

He's become much more lively now that he's familiar with his new aquarium, and his new surroundings. He doesn't spend his day underneath the rocks. He's swimming all over now, and responding to me. He's still not eating though.

I've been struggling with Buddy's fin problem for a while now, and so I decided to do some deduction. This is how I talked myself into getting another Betta.

Apparently, at one time or another, I spoke in tongues. I was cleaning out my closet when I came across the old notebooks I used to use the last time I attended college. It's astounding what you forget when it's deemed "short term" in memory.

I just reapplied to Penn State as well and am waiting back for the acceptance or rejection letter. More on that when and if it happens.

I was wondering why my towels were still wet after two trips around the cycle. I started a third time and stuck my hand in after thirty seconds to find that there was no warm air. Time to open up the back of the machine yet again.

I've had this mouse since sometime before the millenium. It's been amazing and I've never had any problems with it. It's one product Microsoft made very well. The scroll wheel started giving me trouble though. This is the first time I've opened the mouse in years.
