Ticked off one of the last remaining steps in the rebuild. The stalling has been fixed (hopefully permanently) and the car runs perfectly. At this point, the windshield is the biggest hurdle, but should be installed sometime this week.

The 31st annual Porsche Meet was held today at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. While I wasn't there primarily to see the Porsche history in all of its glory, I had an amazing time. We spent a few hours walking around admiring the rows and rows of Porsches, under grey skies and a northern wind. There were millions of dollars in automobiles right in front of me. But there were no competitions between owners. Everyone was there to celebrate their love of the Porsche, whatever its model or condition. What I was after, though, cost me $150.

If all goes well and the snow stays away, the windshield should be arriving on Thursday of this week, the 8th of March. That's one more tick, hopefully, off my to-do list!

It's the final leg of the journey. I'm on the last road of the restoration, at least until it's legal to drive on the road. There are still a bunch of things to work out, small details and quirks that just don't make sense yet.

It's not going to be long now. The 944 that's been sitting neglected in the weeds, home to bees nests, and perpetually sunbathing is on the last leg of the major operation. It shouldnt' be long now before we can actually start the car!

Well, Autoatlanta came through and shipped very quickly. However, only 3 items arrived. I received the window seal, the hood release cable, and the balance belt. However, the distributor seal and windshield trimmings are still on backorder. They claimed 1-2 week until it would be available. Hopefully, they’re right…
